Samuel “Sam” Richardson

Samuel 'Sam" Richardson was born on June 23. 1941 to James and Luella Richardson in Petersburg, Virginia.


Sam attended Judson s Hill elementary and Morristown College high school. 


He also studied  at Tennessee State University,  graduated with Bachelor's degree and later received his master's at CW Post college. Long Island,  New York.


He wrote coverage of sporting events for local  high school, while  he was in high school. 


He was crazy about the Dodgers, University Tennessee  football avid fan of TSU tigers.  Participated at many alumni events at TSU.

Annual contributor to TSU alumni association also University of Tennessee. fundraiser for the Reunion of the Ages schloarship fund. Continuous donations to various civic and faith based organizations every year.


Sam loved music, he played trombone in high school band.  He later accepted  a position at Morristown college as a Liberian. Assistant coach for Morristown college  basketball team.  


After Morristown college closed, Sam obtained employment at Walter state community College were he retired.  


Sam was a dedicated mrmber and supported the Reunion of the Ages for 21 years.  His dedication and commitment was outstanding!  He was dedicated in preserving the legacy and history of Morristown College. 

Sam was preceeded in death by his parents, sisters; Anna Mae Martin, Martha Young, Mary Crenshaw, rev. Sandra Richardson , brother; Jane's Richardson ,Jr.

 

Survived by; sister: Lillian Holland of Detroit Michigan 

Brother; William (Gloria) Richardson of Petersburg, Virginia. 

Survived by host of nieces. Nephews, cousins and his extended family including church members, Reunion of the Ages and other organizations to which he was a member.
