Daniel “Chester” Riley

Daniel “Chester” Riley was born January 1, 1940, in Ewing, Virginia to Melvin Loyd Riley and Nettie Riley (Fugate) before the family relocated to Morristown, Tennesee.
Chester attended Hamblen County public schools. As a young adult, Chester moved to Baltimore, Maryland before eventually settling down in Chicago, Illinois. While living in Chicago, Chester worked for many years at Ford Motor Company before starting his career at S & C Electric company building electrical grid equipment and systems for the U.S. Postal Service, U.S. military, NASA, universities, hospitals, and sports stadiums.
Chester is survived by his children Daniel Riley Jr. of Algonquin, Illinois; Dwayne Riley-Ford of Chicago, Illinois; Daril Riley of Baltimore, Maryland; Jennetta Riley-Ford of Columbus, Georgia; and Dr. Angelique Riley-Ford of Peoria, Arizona. He is also survived by his sister Mildred Yeary of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and 10 grandchildren.
Chester is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Karen Holloway, wife Barbara Ann Riley, and 12 of his 13 siblings.
