William C. Ronnie "Bow Wow" Ballinger

William Curtis Ronnie “Bow Wow” Ballinger, age 67, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2015.

He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard until he retired. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Morristown and Special Ministry with Rev. Gregory Foust of Knoxville.

He is survived by his mother, Lula Mae Ballinger of Dandridge; his wife: Thelma Ballinger; his children: Rachiel Ballinger, Kimaya Ballinger LeClaire, Daniel “Curt” Ballinger and Chiquata... Burks, all of Knoxville and Vanessa (Greg) Waterson Dalton, Brandon Fanney and stepson Billy Fanney, all of Morristown; and his brother: Calvin Ballinger of Dandridge. “Bow Wow” has 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Homegoing Services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Dockery Funeral Home, with Elder James H. Goins, Sr., officiating. The Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.

Final arrangements entrusted to Dockery Funeral Home, Inc., of Morristown.

We were in the Guard with Bow Wow, and he was such a great person to be around. We had some good times. We are very sorry for his passing.
