She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Otis M. Yeary Jr. and Barbara K. Yeary; great-great grandparents, Otis Yeary Sr. and Lillian G. Yeary, and brother Jordan M. Yeary. She is survived by her mother, LaToya M.Yeary; father, Terrance D. Elder; maternal brothers, Christopher Ty Ewing, Jarius Ta-Sean Yeary and Raydrick Cordae Kyle; sister, Adamari Julianne Shepard; maternal grandparents, Lillian (Cissy) and Shaun Boswell of Atlanta, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Joe (Buster) and Donnetta Goodson; paternal great-grandparents, Joe and Brenda Goodson; maternal aunts, Kathy M. Donaldson and Shirley Holmes of Irvington, New Jersey; maternal great-aunt, Nina Cardwell; paternal aunt, Yolanda (Niecy) Brooks; niece, Neveah A. Kirk, and a host of other aunts and cousins. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home in Morristown, followed by a celebration of TaneJa’s short life, to be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. James Goins will officiate. Burial will be in the Yeary Cemetery, located in in the Lowland community. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a Go Fund Me account.
