Rose Nell Houston, age 96, of Morristown, passed away
peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare
Systems.
She was born March 6, 1919 to Arch & Bertha Treece in Golder, Tennessee. She was baptized at an early age in Golder. She was employed as a cashier in the Food Services Department at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare Systems.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Edward Houston; her daughter: Bobbie Janie Houston; and siblings: Beulah Treece Harris, Hubert Treece, Virgie Treece Dailey, Daniel “D” Treece, Jr., and James “Jim” Treece.
She is survived by her children: George E. Houston, Julia (Kerry) Patterson, Mary (William) Miller, and Edith (Joseph) Senter; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January, 27, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Dockery Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m., with Rev. Clifton D. Jackson, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Treece Cemetery.
