Jacquelin Ruth Moore

Jacquelin Moore, 71, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 12:20 a.m. At Heritage Center. Jackie was born in Morristown on June 3, 1946. She graduated from West High School. She married Douglas Moore in 1965 who preceded her in death. She worked at Long John Silvers for 14 years and at Sears for 26 years. She enjoyed helping others, cooking and spring gardening. She was preceded in death by her mother Nellie Lucille Patton; brother Gary Patton; uncles Frank (Omega) Patton, Edward (Jane) Patton and Joseph Patton; aunts Gladys Ragin, Christine Cunningham and Shirley (Charles) Carr. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Kirby; grandsons Broderick, Robert and Jeremy Moore; great-grandson Nehemiah; brothers Michael and Randy (Patty) Proffitt; sisters Vickie Patton, Rhonda, Stephanie and Beverly Proffitt (Fitz); uncle John Patton and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 10th at Bethel Baptist Church, 1800 Cherokee Dr. Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. In Hamblen Memory Gardens with the Rev. Clifton Jackson officiating.
