Buddy Wayne Treece
by DFH Inc. on 07/31/17Buddy Wayne Treece, 77, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his home. He was born March 3, 1940 to Arthur and Hattie Treece of Morristown. Buddy developed a passion for carpentry and landscaping. He was known for his manicured yard and carpentry skills. He retired from American Enka BASF in 1993 after 33 years of service. After his first retirement he became a driver for Calloway Day Care Service for eight years. Buddy loved to travel and enjoyed wonderful times with his family. He was a member of the Men's Chorus and Trustee Board of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Buddy will always be remembered for his contagious smile, laughter, and his dabber attire. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Hattie Treece; sisters Helen Kyle, Grace Patterson, Ada Ruth Patterson, Willie Kate Bradford and Dorothy Treece; brothers Howard, Bobby, Titus, Hal Jr., James and Lewis; daughter Charlotte Treece Kyle. Buddy is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Dorothy; daughters Sherry McFarland and Trina Dailey; son Buddy Wayne (Lisa) Treece Jr.; grandchildren Jellene (Josh) Wells, Buddy Keon Treece, Ashley (Randy) Tate, Ajeenah McFarland and Anzar McFarland; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, August 5th at Bethel Baptist Church, 1800 Cherokee Drive. Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will follow the funeral service at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
